ISW - Feb 27 to Mar 20, 2027

$650.00

This session is offered ONLINE using Google Meets.

It will run on Saturdays from 9p-3p for 4 weeks, starting February 27, 2027.

The Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) is a 24 hour, small-group, experiential learning program designed to help both new and experienced educators strengthen their teaching effectiveness.

The workshop explores adult learning theory and practice, learning objectives, lesson planning, learner engagement, and evaluation of learning. Each participant will design and deliver three mini-lessons using the BOPPPS model for lesson planning with the other participants acting as your learners.

Through reflection, practice, and feedback, participants develop practical teaching and feedback skills they can apply in the classroom, workplace, and broader institutional setting. The collaborative format fosters participatory learning, community, collegiality, and team building, while providing opportunities for self-discovery and exploring new approaches to working with others.

For new educators, the ISW can provide you with an excellent foundation for creating lessons that engage your learners. For experienced educators, it can be an opportunity to reflect on and enhance your teaching practice.

If you require accommodations, please contact us before completing registration. We’d be glad to discuss your needs and explore what accommodations may be possible. We can’t guarantee that every accommodation will be available, but we’ll work with you to identify options.
